Hyundai launches new variants of Hyundai i20 in India, Check the price and features

Hyundai i20 has been one of the of the best-selling premium hatchbacks in India till date. The company (Hyundai) has now revealed two new variants of this popular car. The two variants of the i20 are 1.2L Asta (O) CVT and the 1.0 Sportz DCT. Hyundai has also introduced new features in the existing variants of the i20. Interestingly, the company has not discontinued any existing models from its line-up.

The Hyundai i20 Asta (O) 1.2 CVT is the top spec variant of the i20 petrol. Now it gets the automatic gearbox as an option. Earlier, only the manual gearbox model was available in the i20 1.2 petrol. The Hyundai i20 Asta (O) 1.2 CVT cost Rs 10.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Similarly, the other newly launched variant of the Hyundai i20 is the 1.0 turbo DCT Sportz. Earlier the turbo DCT variant was available in Asta and Asta (O) which cost Rs 10.81 lakh and Rs 11.33 lakh respectively. Now the turbo DCT variant is available below Rs 10 lakh. The 1.0 turbo DCT Sportz variant costs Rs 9.76 lakh.

Meanwhile, Hyundai has managed to add some features on its various models of i20. The Sportz variant of i20 gets automatic air conditioning. Earlier the variant used to get manual AC only. The cruise control feature which was limited only to the Asta (O) variant can now be availed in different variants.

On the other hand, the Hyundai i20 Asta trim gets a sunroof as a standard. Earlier, the sunroof was only available on the 1.0 iMT Asta model. On the other hand, the Asta variant now gets a smaller 8.0-inch touchscreen instead of 10.25-inch touchscreen. Similarly, the Asta (O) variant gets additional voice commands for the Blue Link system.

In the Indian market, the Hyundai i20 competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, Toyota Glanza, and Volkswagen Polo.
