2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 teased prior to launch in India, Know what to expect

Maruti Suzuki has yet again teased about the upcoming MPV Maruti Suzuki XL6. The new teaser video on the company’s official website (Nexa Experience) reveals some important features that will be offered in the new MPV. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be launched in India on April 21. The new XL6 is expected to get some upgrades in the terms of external and internal features. The bookings of the MPV are currently underway at a token amount of Rs 11,000.

According to the latest teaser video, the company (Maruti Suzuki) has revealed that the car gets ventilated front seats in the all-new XL6. Maruti Suzuki has already stated that the MPV will have a 6-Speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This will give the riders better hands-on control.

In terms of engine, the new Marti Suzuki XL6 is expected to carry a new 1.5-litre K15C DualJet petrol engine. The engine will offer a power of 115hp which is 10hp more than the current model. The current model of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 offers a power of 105hp. The gearbox of the new XL6 will offer a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission along with paddle shifters.  The DualJet technology is offered in the recently launched Baleno hatchback. We expect a rise in the fuel efficiency of the new XL6 as well.

Inside the cabin, the Maruti XL6 is expected to offer similar features as that of the Maruti Baleno. We can expect a new infotainment system along with a bigger screen size in the car. The design of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 is expected to be sporty and should offer 16-inch alloy wheels that offer a muscular look.  In terms of safety, a 360-degree camera will provide a 3D view to the driver.

According to media reports the new XL6 will be offered in six colours- Arctic White, Brave Khaki, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver and the Nexa Blue.

In terms of competition, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 will face competition from Kia Carens and the Mahindra Marazzo as both vehicles fall under the same category.
