2022 Lexus NX 350h launched in India, Offers a hybrid powertrain and 2.5-litre petrol engine

Luxury vehicle manufacturer Lexus has launched a new SUV model- Lexus NX 350h in the Indian market. The 2022 Lexus NX 350h is priced at 64.90 lakh for the initial variant. The special attraction of the engine of the SUV is that it has hybrid powertrain and is offered in petrol variant only. We do not get an option for diesel variant of the engine.

The engine of the 2022 Lexus NX 350h is a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine. The engine is coupled with electric motors on both the axles (front and rear). The total power output of the SUV is 244 hp. While the engine generates a power of 192hp, the remaining power is generated by the hybrid unit. The gearbox is a 6-speed e-CVT unit that ensures that the power is distributed to four wheels. The SUV is an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The hybrid unit of the Lexus NX 350h is a self-charging unit and users do not have to recharge it. The hybrid unit provides a range of around 55 km, the company has claimed.

Interior

The SUV is laden with luxury features in the interior. The SUV gets a dual-tone black and red theme along with a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment touchscreen is tilted more towards the driver’s seat. The SUV also gets support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The other important features in the cabin are a fully-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and audio system from Mark Levinson with 17 speakers. The other important cabin features are a panoramic sunroof, heads-up display, electrically foldable seats, etc.

Exterior

The exterior look of the SUV is retained from its predecessor. The front and rear bumpers are updated while the LED headlamps are a single unit. The bonnet of the SUV is flatter while the alloy wheels and LED tail lights are new. The L-shaped Lexus logo is placed in the top centre of the massive grille.

Safety features

The safety features of the 2022 Lexus NX 350h consists of 8 airbags, 360 degree camera, parking sensors at the front and rear, traction control and EBS and ADAS features like lane change assist, lane-departure warning with steering assist, radar-based cruise control, blind spot monitor etc.

Price and variants

The 2022 Lexus NX 350h is offered in three variants- Exquisite, Luxury and F-Sport. While the Exquisite is the entry-level variant costs Rs 64.90 lakh, the F-sport (top variant) costs Rs 71.60 lakh. Meanwhile, the Luxury variant costs Rs 69.50 lakh.

The 2022 Lexus NX 350h rivals with BMW X3, Mercedes Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60 in India.
