2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 launched in India with multiple updates, Know details here

Soon after the launch of Kawasaki Ninja 400 BS6 version in India, the company has launched the updated version of Versys 650 adventure motorcycle in India. As compared to its previous version, the 2022 edition of the Kawasaki Versys 650 gets a whole bunch of upgrades in terms of electronics. However, the engine of the adventure motorcycle remains the same as before.

The details of the motorcycle have been mentioned below.


The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 is powered by a 649cc, twin-cyllinder engine (same as before) that churns out a peak power of 66hp. The maximum torque generated by the engine is 61Nm.

Brakes and suspension

When it comes to brakes, the Versys 650 gets a 300mm dual disc setup at the front and single disc setup at the rear. The front discs are 300mm while the rear disc is 220mm. In terms of suspension, both the front as well as rear units get Showa suspension.  The front gets adjustable forks while the rear is a monoshock unit. The brakes and suspension remains the same as that of the previous model.


The electronics of the bike receive a lot of changes. The 2022 Versys 650 gets a new TFT display along with Bluetooth connectivity.  The other important upgrade on the mototrcycle is the Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). There are two modes available on the bike to control the traction control. Both the modes can be used according to the need of the users. The new Versys 650 also gets a setting to turn of the traction when needed.

Design and Colours

When it comes to design, the 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets sharper fairing, new LED headlamps, and adjustable windscreen along with new graphics. The motorcycle is available in two colour options- Lime Green and Metallic Phantom Silver.


The Price of the 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 is more than its predecessor. It is priced at Rs 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is Rs 21,000 more than the outgoing model.
