2022 Hyundai Venue facelift: Check the changes in the new generation of the SUV

2022 Hyundai Venue facelift has been launched in India and it gets a refreshed design along with some changes in the interior. However, the engine of the new Hyundai Venue remains almost the same as that of its predecessor. The difference between the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift and the outgoing model has been mentioned in detail below.

Design

The design of the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift is very sporty in comparison to the current generation of the SUV. The front grille receives a major change in comparison to the current generation. Hyundai calls the new grille its parametric theme and the similarity extends to the international variants of the company’s SUVs available abroad. It (the grille) also gets a dark chrome finish. The bumper also gets a refreshed design too. The 16-inch alloy wheels of the car get diamond-cut design.

The Front LED headlights and the DRLs are integrated and the black finish is extended on it. Formerly the Hyundai Venue had halogen projectors. However, the current generation gets LED projectors.

The backlights are LED and gets an H structure. Both backlights are connected with each other and run from one side to the other. The overall shape and design of the backlight remind us of the Ioniq 5. The bumper also receives a new design as compared to the outgoing model.

Engine

The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift is offered in petrol as well as diesel engine options just like its predecessor. The petrol engine will be offered in two variants while the diesel engine will be offered in a single variant. The petrol engine will be a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine or a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The 1.0-litre petrol engine produces 120PS power while 1.2-litre petrol engine offers 83PS power. Similarly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine offers 100PS power.

When it comes to gearbox options, the car gets four combinations- 5 speed manual transmission, 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed iMT and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The 1.0-litre petrol engine does not get the 6-speed manual transmission and is replaced by a  6-speed iMT (clutch less manual transmission).

Features

The cabin features on the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift include features like fresh upholstery and features Home to car (H2C) with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant. The other features include a digital driver display, wireless charging, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, usb-c charger, sunroof (on high spec version), ventilated front seats, paddle shifters, reclining seats for rear and front passengers  and a reverse parking camera. Users get three riding modes on the new Venue- Eco, Normal, and Sport. These modes can be changed through a rotatory dial on the centre console.

Other important inclusions are USB type-C chargers at the rear and air purifier

Price and colours

When it comes to the price, the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift starts at Rs 7.53 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.32 lakh. The SUV is available in six single tone colours (silver, grey, blue, black, white and red) a dual-tone colour (red and black).
