Audi Q7 facelift launched in India, Check the variants, price, engine and other details

Audi has finally launched the facelifted version of the popular SUV Q7 in India. The Audi Q7 facelift is launched in two variants and is compliant with the latest BS6 emission norms. Audi had earlier opened the booking of Audi Q7 SUV at an amount of Rs 5 lakh. The Audi facelift will be the same model that was launched globally in 2019.

The 2022 Audi Q7 SUV is available in two variants- Premium Plus and Technology variant. The price of Premium Plus starts at Rs 79.99 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Technology variant is Rs 88.33 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the facelift Audi Q7 is only available in a petrol-only variant. The company does not offer any diesel variant of the SUV.

Engine

The BS6 version of Audi Q7 is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine that churns out a power of 340bhp. The peak torque of the SUV is 500Nm. The transmission of the SUV includes an eight-speed automatic gearbox along with all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard (Quattro). The SUV can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. The engine also has 48V mild-hybrid system.

The older 3.0-litre diesel engine and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine are no longer available. While the 3.0-litre diesel engine offered 249hp of power, the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine offered a power of 252hp.

Design

The exterior of the Audi Q7 facelift get new LED headlamps, redesigned alloy wheels, tweaked LED tail lamps, etc. The front grille is massive and is hexagonal in structure. There are six vertical lines inside the perimeter of the grille and they run parallel to each other.

Interior and safety

In terms of interior, the Audi Q7 facelift gets an updated cabin, which includes a larger touchscreen (10.1 inch), a flat-bottom steering wheel, and some other attractive features like the virtual cockpit. Users can choose from a range of premium upholstery for this SUV. The SUV has connectivity of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Some other features include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and multiple-seating layouts. There are touches of chrome on both the front and rear sides of the SUV. The safety features include ESC, Park Assist Plus, 360 degree 3D surround camera, eight airbags, lane-keep assist and many more.

In India the Audi Q7 facelift rivals the likes of BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Volvo XC90 etc.
