In terms of sales the automobile market in India is in full swing. Both two-wheeler and four-wheeler manufacturing companies have launched their respective products in 2021. This year too car manufacturers are bracing themselves to launch some amazing products. In India, car manufacturers are all prepared to launch some exciting SUVs.

Here is a list of upcoming SUVs that are assumed to make car enthusiasts happy in the current year.

Mahindra Scorpio: The new generation of Mahindra Scorpio has been one of the most anticipated SUVs in India. The SUV is under development for some time and is expected to launch this year. The SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine or a 2.2-litre diesel engine. It is expected that the engine of the XUV700 will be tuned differently to fit into the Mahindra Scorpio. In terms of price the Scorpio is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara: The Maruti Suzuki Vitara is expected to launch this year and may sit above the new Vitara Brezza. The Vitara will be all-new premium SUV offered by Maruti Suzuki and will costs between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 18 lakh in India.

Jeep Meridian: The Jeep Meridian is expected to be launched in India very soon and will strengthen the market of Jeep in India. For those who are unknown, the three-row SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine. It is expected to churn out a peak power of 200 bhp. The Meridian SUV is expected to be more spacious and premium as compared to the Jeep Compass. The front and rear profile of the SUV will be redesigned to suit the purpose. We expect that the Jeep Meridian SUV will be priced between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: It is expected that the Maruti Suzuki Jimny should arrive in India this year. We expect that the Maruti Jimny will be offered as a three-door SUV just like the Mahindra Thar SUV. It is expected that the Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that will produce 105 PS and 138 Nm. Upon its launch, the Maruti Jimny will be priced between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.

Hyundai Tucson: This premium SUV offered by Hyundai is expected to get an upgrade soon. Even though the fourth generation of the Hyundai Tucson has been launched across the globe, it is yet to be launched in India. We expect the engine of the 5-seater SUV to be more powerful than its present version. The new version of the Hyundai Tucson is expected to cost anywhere between Rs 23 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.
