Apple is developing a revolutionary Health app update that could potentially transform the way we monitor our wellbeing. iOS 19, scheduled for release during WWDC in June, will allegedly include an AI-driven doctor feature that provides health tips and information tailored to individuals.

This new capability, codenamed Project Mulberry, is an extension of Apple’s long-term vision to offer health guidance powered by artificial intelligence. Apple has been challenging its wearables, such as the Apple Watch and AirPods, to new heights of health tracking, from ECG monitoring to fall detection. But Apple now wants to do more than just gather information and actually provide actionable guidance.

Here’s how it’s supposed to function: The AI health coach will scan data from your iPhone, Apple Watch, and other health-monitoring accessories, applying machine learning to create personalized health insights. This might include personalized suggestions to enhance your fitness, diet, and overall health. And, to guarantee accuracy, Apple has hired a group of doctors to train the AI model, as well as outside experts in different areas.

But wait, there’s more – the redesigned Health app is also said to feature a food tracking feature, which would enable users to track their meals and get nutritional information and healthier recommendations. Some Apple employees are even dubbing the AI-powered health coach Health+ but it remains uncertain if this will be a paid subscription or a complimentary add-on to the Health app.

Generally, Apple’s vision for its Health app is promising and ambitious. With the capability to revolutionize how we track and care for our health, this update could be an enormous game-changer for iPhone users.
