Airtel users will get bundled subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Apple Music; Know the details
Private telecom service provider Airtel will be offering bundled subscriptions of Apple TV+ and Apple Music to its subscribers in India very soon. Airtel has joined hands with the Cupertino giant to offer Apple TV+ and Apple Music to its broadband and postpaid plans users across the country. For those who are unknown, Apple TV+ platform offers OTT content with a subscription fee of Rs 99/month. Users get 7 days of free trial initially.
When it comes to Airtel and Apple TV + bundled subscription, users get the subscription under broadband and postpaid plans. On the other hand, the users who have Wynk Premium subscription will also get Apple Music. This allows Wynk Premium users to stream music as well as podcast in highest quality.
Even though both companies have announced the partnership, they are yet to announce the benefits of the plan.
This is the first time that an Indian teleco has partnered with Apple for its entertainment services. It is likely that Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea might follow the footsteps of Airtel and offer Apple TV+ subscription.
On the other hand, Airtel has confirmed that it will be pull the plug from Wynk Music. Airtel in a statement said “We can confirm that we will sunset Wynk Music and all Wynk music employees will be absorbed within the Airtel ecosystem. Airtel users will have access to Apple Music. Additionally, Wynk Premium users will receive exclusive offers from Airtel for Apple Music.”
