New Delhi: In order to give a stiff competition to its arch-rival Jio, Airtel has launched a new recharge offer for its users. The new Airtel recharge of Rs. 419 offers 1.4 GB data per day for 75 days. Similarly, the Rs. 399 pack provides 1.4 GB data for 70 days whereas the Rs. 448 pack provides 1.4 GB data for 82 days.
At present, Jio offers 1.5 GB data per day with a 70 day validity at Rs. 349. Users can avail the Rs. 419 offer via the official website and Airtel app. The plan comes with local and STD calls of 300 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week. Users will also get free calls on national roaming and 100 SMS messages per day with this recharge. Access to the Airtel TV app is also provided with the pack.
Notably, Airtel is facing stiff competition in the telecom industry due to the merger of Vodafone and Idea into a joint entity named Vodafone Idea limited. The latter has replaced Airtel as the country’s biggest telecom operator. Another key rival is Reliance Jio which is currently offering a wide range of services like free calling, SMS, unlimited data besides an access to a wide plethora of apps.
