New Delhi: Airtel prepaid users are now eligible to get up to 20GB of free data if they are using an Rs. 399 plan or above. The data will be provided by Bharti Airtel to all Rs. 399 prepaid recharge plans and above. Also, Airtel will not add complementary data to your 4G mobile data account.
Users will be able to use the extra data only in Airtel WiFi zones. The data allowance ranges between 5GB, 10GB, and 20GB.
The telecom giant has a number of WiFi zones placed across India. Airtel has stated that the zones are free WiFi hotspots which are present in selected metros across 500 spots. Subscribers with Rs. 399 plan or more can avail the free data by the company in these WiFi zones.
In order to get the extra data depending on the Airtel prepaid plan, subscribers have to be present in WiFi zones. They will need to connect to the WiFi network via the My Airtel app. Normally, the networks will be assigned with @Free Airtel WiFi name. Once you connect, the device will be verified by the telecom operator and after that, the provided data could be accessed.
