Airtel has introduced a new Smart missed call alert feature for its users. The feature will allow them to check whether they missed a call from someone when their device is turned off or they are out of network coverage area. Let us tell you that Jio already offers a similar feature that sends SMS alerts for missed calls. However, Airtel’s Smart Missed Call feature will not work in the same way as Jio. The feature will reportedly work through Airtel Thanks app on iOS and Android.

Airtel Smart Missed Call Alert Feature

Airtel’s Smart Missed Call Alert feature will be available for all prepaid or postpaid customers on both the iOS and Android devices. They need to have an active voice-calling plan to get access to this feature. This feature works via its Airtel Thanks app on iOS and Android.

With this feature, users will see a list of missed calls when their phone was turned off or when they were out of the network coverage area for a brief period of time. Furthermore, the service will be available to every Airtel customer with an active voice plan for free. It will even show national and international roaming plans.

So, all Airtel customer who have an active voice-calling plan, can use this feature by going to the Airtel Thanks app and enable the Smart Missed Call Alerts feature from the “Curated by You” tab. After the feature is enabled, users can go to the Airtel Thanks app to check your missed calls.

However, if we compare this with the feature provided by Jio that alerts users by sending a simple text, it looks a bit complicated as Airtel customers need to go to the app to check the missed calls every time.
