2022 Hyundai Creta facelift SUV launched; Check engine, design and feature details

South Korean automaker Hyundai has launched the 2022 Creta facelift SUV in South American market. The 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift SUV has been unveiled in Brazil. The SUV has received many updates in terms of design and technology.

The new Hyundai Creta 2022 comes with updated design and technology compared to current model in India.

Safety Features

The new SUV has got additional safety features such as the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features. Hyundai has introduced blind sport monitoring camera and emergency braking for increased safety measures during night drive.

These features alerts the driver to any oncoming vehicle. It even alerts the driver if it detects a cyclists, pedestrians or other vehicles that are ahead of the car and applies autonomous braking to prevent accident.

The car also comes with Left Convergence Detection feature in the 2022 Creta facelift along with autonomous braking system which will monitor the left lane side to avoid the risks of collision with an approaching vehicle from the adjacent lane while driving. It will alerts the driver if there is risk if collision, or if necessary it can also apply the brakes automatically.

The new Creta also gets features such as driver Fatigue Detector, Adaptive High Light, Adaptive Speed Control. Additionally it offers up to Six airbags and four-wheel disc brakes for safety measures.

Engine and Power

2022 Creta facelift SUV gets a 1.0-litre Turbo GDI direct fuel injection engine, which generates 120 hp power and 171 Nm maximum torque output. It is also available with top-of-the-line Ultimate version that comes with an aspirated SmartStream 2.0-litre engine that produces 167 hp of power.

Features

The 2022 Creta facelift has seen with a difference front fascia than the current car. It has been launched with a special front grille exclusive to Brazil in a hexagonal format. The SUV got the new grille which seems inspired by the latest Hyundai Alcazar.

It gives the car a more sophisticated chrome heavy look.

The 2022 Creta facelift was launched with four trims. Depending on the variants, it may come with horizontal bars or cascade elements made in silver or chrome.

The SUV will sport LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) across all variants. However, the LED headlamp and flashlight are available only in the top-spec variant.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta feature a tweaked tail light which extends to the boot lid. The brake lights have been moved from below the rear windshield to the top of the glass.  It also has the panoramic sunroof.

The interiors of the SUV is mostly similar to the model already available in the Indian markets.

It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and steering-mounted drive mode selector with Normal, Smart, Eco and Sport options.

The steering wheel of the car is also similar with the current model and it comes with paddle shifters for the automatic variant. The telephony buttons have been placed on the left side and the cruise control buttons on the right side.

The SUV is available with alloy wheels that are offered with size options of 16-inch, 17-inch or 18-inch. It is also comes with diamond cut design alloy wheels which is only available with 17-inch and 18-inch options.

Hyundai Creta has remained as the company’s best selling mid-size SUV after its launch in the Indian market in the year 2015. Last year, the company launched the new generation Hyundai Creta in India.

The company has not shared any official information about the arrival of the 2022 Creta facelift version in the Indian market yet. But we expect the company to launch this popular SUV in a new avatar in India next year.
