Artists paint streets with colour and imagination

Bhubaneswar: The road besides Mahatma Gandhi park in Bhubaneswar bore a fresh look on Thursday as paintings and photographs adorned the roadside A street Art Show, the first ever joint initiative of Priyadarsini Foundation and Heartbeats, drew more than 35 arts and photography enthusiasts from Odisha and neighbouring states who displayed their work along the roads.

The art exhibition was open for all age groups and for professionals as well as amateurs. Though there was no fixed genre of photographs and paintings, the theme was loosely based on tradition and culture of Odisha.

Eminent sand artists Subal Muduli and photographer Biren Patnaik inaugurated the art show and felicitated the participants.

“It is an attempt to provide a to the deserving artists. We hope to hold more such exhibitions in the near future,” said Sankar Kanhar of Heartbeats.
