Popular Ollywood and theatre actor Minaketan Das has been admitted to the Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment of pancreatic cancer.
According to sources, Das fell sick while performing at a play recently. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. Later, he was shifted to the Mumbai-based hospital where he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Luckily for him, it is at a preliminary stage and is curable.
Doctors at the hospital have said the actor, who has excelled in negative roles, would need to undergo a surgery that could cost upwards of Rs 30 lakhs.
