Yet another Pure EV scooter catches fire in Gujurat, Question rises on safety standards

In the past few months, several electric scooters from Ola Electric, Jitendra New EV, Okinawa and Pure Energy EV getting caught in fire have surfaced online. The maximum number of cases have been related to Pure EV e-scooters. This incident have caused people to raise questions about the safety standards of electric vehicles.

Now, yet another pure EV electric scooter has reportedly caught fire in Gujurat. According to reports, an EPluto 7G electric scooter caught fire while it was plugged for charging outside a house in Gujarat. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in this incident. The cause of the incident is yet to be known.

This will be the fifth Pure EV scooter that was engulfed in fire.

Earlier, four e-scooters of Pure EV had caught fire. Last month, a Pure EV e-scooter caught fire in Hyderabad while driving. As per the scooter owner, the ev stopped suddenly while he was travelling with his friend. So, when he opened the battery compartment to check whats wrong, smoke started to coming out of it and eventually it caught fire. The EV owner has also registered a complaint with the police on this matter.

Meanwhile, Pure EV recalled 2,000 e-scooters in April this year. The recall was issued for its. The EPluto 7G is the same model that recently caught fire in Hyderabad and Gujarat.

These repeated incidents of EV scooters catching fire has raised questions on the safety standards of the electric scooters.
