TVS Jupiter Electric Scooter Patent leaks

TVS is planning to introduce a new electric version of the Jupiter scooter in India. It will rival the upcoming Activa electric scooter.

TVS Motor is planning to launch a new electric scooter in the Indian market. The two-wheeler maker’s first electric scooter TVS i-Qube witnessed huge demand in the market after its launch in the country. Now, the company plans to introduce a new e-scooter, which could possibly be the electric version of the Jupiter scooter.

According to sources, TVS has also applied for a patent for the Jupiter electric scooter. It might be launched in India soon. The upcoming TVS Jupiter electric scooter will rival the Activa electric scooter, which will likely be introduced in January 2024.

TVS Jupiter electric scooter expected specifications

There are not many details known about the rumoured Jupiter e-sccoter. However, it is expected that the e-scooter will have the same battery life as the TVs i-Qube. That means it will have 2.25 kWh battery pack that produces 3.0 kW of power and 140 Nm of peak torque. iQube has a 4.4 kW setup that achieves 0-40 kmph in just 4.2 seconds.

Due to its competitive positioning in the market, the future scooter may have a larger battery with an increased range.

Meanwhile, reports have also revealed that TVS is developing a new mid-mounted motor, which is expected to be in the new e-scooter. The company has also filed a patent for a new motor. All of this made rumours spread that the new TVS Jupiter Electric Scooter will be in range of 5kW to 25kW.
