These variants of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso get discontinued in India

India’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has decided to discontinue some models of S-Presso hatchback car. This means that the starting price of the Suzuki S-Presso now starts at just Rs 4 lakh in India. Few months earlier, Maruti had discontinued some models of Alto in India.

The variants that were discontinued in India are Std, LXi, LXi CNG, VXi, VXi AMT, and VXi CNG. Currently, the variants that are on offer are Std (O), LXi (O), VXi (O), VXi Plus, VXi (O) AMT, LXi (O) CNG, VXi Plus AMT, and VXi (O) CNG. It seems that the carmaker has retained the optional and plus variants and discarded the standard variant.

The S-Presso gets a 1-litre petrol engine which is paired with 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed automatic transmission. The petrol engine offers 68PS of maximum power along with 90Nm of maximum torque. There is also an availability of CNG variants for the hatchback. There is however a drop in power for the CNG variant. The CNG variant offers 59 PS of power and 78 Nm of torque. While the petrol engine offers a mileage of around 21 kmph, the CNG variant offers a mileage of 31.2km/kg.

The features of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso include a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, power windows, digital instrument cluster and much more.

In terms of safety, the features that are offered on the car include dual-airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert, seatbelt reminder and much more. The buyers who are planning for their first car can opt for an S-Presso. Currently (for the month of July) Maruti offers a discount of up to Rs 28,000 on the S-Presso. The top model of the S Presso goes up to Rs 5.64 lakh in India.
