Six Mahindra SUVs to launch in 2024: Mahindra Thar 5-door, XUV300 facelift, and more

Mahindra will introduce as many as six SUVs including Mahindra Thar 5-door, Mahindra XUV300 facelift and more in the next year 2024.

Mahindra has stacked up several launches for the upcoming 2024 year. The domestic manufacturer will introduce as many as six SUVs in the next year. The list includes the most awaited Mahindra Thar 5-door, Mahindra XUV300 facelift and more.

Mahindra XUV400 EV facelift feature update

Mahindra will begin the new year 2024 with the launch of the XUV400 EV facelift. The new XUV400 EV will receive a major facelift since its launch. The upgrades will include a redesigned dashboard with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. It will also get support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

Mahindra XUV300 facelift

The second-in-line to be launched is the all-new Mahindra XUV300 facelift. It could make its debut in February 2024 in the range between Rs 8.5 lakh to 15.5 lakh. Mahindra recently discontinued the XUV300. With a new front and rear design, the XUV300 facelift will feature drop-down LED daytime running lamps (DRLs).

Mahindra could also be equipped with connected LED light bars like the upcoming BE range of SUVs design. More modern features will be seen in the interior including a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a panoramic sunroof.

The engine specifications will continue to remain the same which means it will be offered with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. However, there are chances of the company adding a powerful 1.2 turbo-petrol engine with 131hp with the vehicle, The vehicle will be offered with a new Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic (torque converter), alongside the 6-speed manual.

Mahindra XUV300 EV

To rival the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra is reportedly planning to launch the Mahindra XUV300 EV that will sit below XUV400 in June 2024.

With the same designs as the XUV300 facelift except for some EV specific styling, the EV will be less than 4 metres in length. Moreover, we will also likely see some BE-inspired designs.

The XUV300 EV will have less boot space, and a smaller battery of 35kWh than the XUV400. It could be priced between Rs 14 lakh and 16 lakh, which will be less than XUV400.

Mahindra XUV700 with captain seats

After the XUV300 Facelift, Mahindra will likely add a new 6-seater variant of the XUV700 with captain chairs to its SUV lineup.

Seeing as its rivals Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar already offer a  6-seater variant with captain chairs, Mahindra could also do so.

The other addition to the SUV could be auto-dimming IRVM, and cooled seats. The existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel motor will be offered with the new variant.

Mahindra XUV700 with captain seats

After the XUV300 Facelift, Mahindra will likely add a new 6-seater variant of the XUV700 with captain chairs to its SUV lineup.
Seeing as its rivals Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar already offer a 6-seater variant with captain chairs, Mahindra could also do so.
The other addition to the SUV could be auto-dimming IRVM, and cooled seats. The existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel motor will be offered with the new variant.

Mahindra Thar 5-door

The 5-door Mahindra Thar SUV is speculated to make its debut in mid-2024. The key features revealed from the test mules of the Mahindra Thar 5-door version, which was seen testing multiple times in a camouflaged state.

It is expected to arrive with more comfort features and minor design changes to make it different from the 3-door Thar. The new addition to the 5-door Mahindra Thar will be a sunroof. Reports have also suggested a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the dashboard of the vehicle.

It will likely have two engine options -2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol, paired with a 6-speed manual and auto. Looking at the running version price, the Mahindra Thar 5-door version is speculated to range between Rs 16 lakh and 20 lakh.

Mahindra XUV.e8

The most-anticipated and the last-in line among the Mahindra SUVs to launch in 2024 will be the futuristic designed Mahindra XUV.e8.  Based on the INGLO skateboard platform, it will be Mahindra’s next-gen EV. With the same layout, sitting arrangements, and silhouette, the Mahindra XUV.e8 is being called the electric version of the XUV700.

However, what makes it different is its futuristic EV vehicle design that will be elevated with its three screens in the interior -a digital instrument cluster, infotainment, and a new screen for passengers. An 80kWh battery (230hp and 350hp output) twin-motor pack will power the XUV.e8.
