Royal Enfield recently unveiled the RE Goan Classic 350 and new colour optioins for Guerrilla 450 at the ongoing Motoverse 2024. Now, the automobile maker has unveiled the FT450 Flat Tracker at the Motoverse 2024. The new FT450 Flat Tracker motorcycle is based on the Guerrilla 450. According to reports, the bike will be used at the Royal Enfield Slide School flat track races.
The Royal Enfield FT450 Flat Tracker features a retro flat tracker styling and has been modified to go sideways at the flat track race. It sports minimalist bodywork and new graphics. Apart from this, the FT450 Flat Tracker also features a fairing cowl instead of LED headlamp like the Guerrilla 450. It has a flat seat and a custom tail section.
The bike rides on 17-inch wire-spoke wheels that are wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.
Royal Enfiled has revealed that it also equipped with a custom exhaust and packs a Powertronic Fuel X Autotune fuel injection optimisation. Unlike the other bikes, that has breaks at both front, and back, the Royal Enfield FT450, being a flat tracker bike doesn’t get a front brake as the rear brake takes care of all braking and sliding duties.
Mechanically, the FT450 Flat Tracker is powered by the same engine that powers the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, which is a 452cc, liquid-cooled motor, developing 40bhp and 40Nm of peak torque in its stock form. It is offered with a six-speed gearbox.
Apart from being used by Royal Enfield at its Slide School, the custom-built FT450 flat tracker will also be used for racing purposes across the world.
