Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 rival to launch in India soon

The Indian market will soon see a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 rival. The motorcycle we are talking about is the soon-to be launched 2025 KTM Adventure 390. KTM India has revealed that the upcoming Adventure 390 will make its debut in the country early next month. It will likely be launched at the 2024 India Bike Week on December 6, 2024.

New KTM ADV 390 Details

KTM Adventure 390 will be launched in two versions -Adventure X and R. The Adventure X will be the highway-focused affordable version while the R version will offer serious off-road equipped with better suspension. The Adventure X will have a lower 825 mm seat height, while the R version will have a taller seat height.

Meanwhile, the design and body panels of both the models will remain same except for the ADV X will be more appropriate for an apt touring motorcycle while the ADV R will be a more off-road biased bike. Both the models will get ADV specific design, projector LED headlights, tall windscreen, semi fairing and the same fuel tank design.

Moreover, the wheel size of both models will also be different. While the Adventure X gets 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, while the R gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire spoke wheels.

Apart from this, the Adventure R will be equipped with a TFT instrument cluster, cruise control, dual-sport tyres along with advanced rider aids like cornering ABS and traction control among others. Meanwhile, the Adventure X will have the other mentioned features expect for the  cornering ABS and instrumentation LCD units.

The new 2025 KTM Adventure 390 will be powered by a 399cc liquid cooled engine, producing 45 bhp and 40 Nm of peak torque. It will be available with a 6-speed gearbox unit.

KTM will showcase its upcoming motorcycles Adventure R and Adventure X at the India bike week on December 6, 2024.However, the prices will likely be out next year.
