Ola continues to dominate electric two-wheeler sales in India, Check August 2024 sales

Ola Electric continues to dominate the electric two wheeler sales in India and the August 2024 sales number is proof of that. Manufacturers like TVS, Bajaj Auto, and Ather follow Ola in the leading 2W EV manufacturer list in India. However, there has been a decline in the sales number on a month-on-month basis for all manufacturers. Important factors for decreased sales include revision in the subsidies and rising prices.

Ola Electric

Ola Electric sold 25,517 units of electric two-wheelers in August 2024 and this is an increase of 46.76% when compared to 18,750 units that were sold in August 2023. However, there has been a month-on-month decline of 33.89% when compared to the sales of July 2024. The company sold 41,624 units in July 2024.

TVS Motor Company

TVS Motor Company has sold 17,543 units of iQube electric scooters last month as compared to 15,482 units in 2023. The month-on-month sales decreased by 9.97% as compared to July 2024 sales. The company launched the Celebration Edition of the iQube in mid-August.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto sold 16,706 units of Chetak electric scooters in August 2024. This is a 153.51% increase in sales. The sales declined by 5.39% when compared to the sales in July 2024.

Ather Energy

The manufacturer sold 10,830 units of electric two-wheelers in August 2024. This is a 51.32% increase in terms of year-over-year and 7.37% in terms of month-over-month sales. Ather sold 7157 units in August 2023. Ather has also introduced Ather Rizta in Care, Plus, and Max packs.

Hero MotoCorp

The Hero MotoCorp has registered an increase of 418.25% when it comes to Year-over-Year retail sales. The manufacturer had sold just 915 units in August 2023.

There are other electric two-wheeler manufacturer including Greaves Electric, Revolt Intellicorp, KLB Komaki, Kinetic Green, and Wardwizard.
