New Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition launched; Priced from Rs 11.85 Lakh

Kia has launched a new 'Aurochs' edition to the Sonet lineup. The limited-run edition is priced from Rs 11.85 lakh o Rs 13.45 lakh.

Kia has launched a new ‘Aurochs’ edition to the Sonet lineup. The limited-run edition is priced from Rs 11.85 lakh o Rs 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition is based on the existing HTX Anniversary Edition variant

The Aurochs edition doesn’t demand any premium over the Anniversary edition and Rs 40,000 costlier than the HTX variant. Kia has made some cosmetic changes in the new Aurochs edition.

New Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition: What’s New?

The Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition has received a tweaked skid plate design with tangerine accents. The same tangerine accent is also seen on the grille and the exclusive ‘Aurochs’ badging as well. The company has also added a tangerine wheel cap surround to the 16-inch alloy wheels. The side profile is further enhanced by a new skid plate with tangerine door garnish. The rear skid plate has also been tweaked with the redesigned which gets the tangerine accents. Apart from this, there is no changes in the new Aurochs Edition of Kia Sonet.

This AE edition is available only in four shades- Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Sparkling Silver, and Glacier White Pearl. In comparison, the HTX variant is available in six shades.

The automaker has not made any changes in the interior theme, which features the same black and beige interior with leatherette seats.

No features have been added additionally to the Sonet Aurochs edition. It comes with LED headlamps, an electric sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button start-stop, automatic AC, and paddle shifters (only for automatic variants).

The Aurochs Edition has four airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking camera, hill hold assist, and traction control as safety features.

Powertrain

The Sonet Aurochs edition is offered in a 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol and another 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo-petrol unit can be had with 6-speed iMT (clutch without manual) and 7-speed DCT (dual clutch automatic), while the diesel is paired with 6-speed iMT and 6-speed AT.
