MG Motor has scheduled to launch the Windsor EV CUV in India on September 11, 2024. Ahead of the official launch, the unooficial bookings for the all-electric MPV has commenced in the country. Now, select dealerships across the country have started accepting orders for the new MG Windsor EV.
The Windsor EV comes with the same silhouette as the Wuling Air EV, which is said to be the model, the EV has been designed on. The MG Windsor CUV is expected to be equipped with a full-width light bar at the front and also at the rear. It will be featuring vertically stacked LED headlamps, front fender-mounted charging port, flush-fitting door handles, alloy wheels, and integrated rear spoiler.
The interior of the Windsor EV is expected to be packed with a segment-first 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, digital instrument panel, 360-degree surround camera. The company has confirmed that it will feature airline-type rear seats with reclining function.
MG Motor offers the Windsor EV International model in two battery pack options – 37.9kWh and 506kWh unit. They offer a maximum driving range of up to 460km on a single charge. The MG Windsor EV’s rival after its launch in India is the BYD e6, which recently made its entry into the electric MPV space in the country.
