MG Motor JSW India has confirmed the launch date of the Windsor EV for the Indian market. The prices of the new Windsor EV will be revealed on September 11, 2024. The Windsor EV, which has been tagged as an intelligent CUV, will be the third electric vehicle of the company in the country.
It is said to be a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV. But, it will be packed with multiple features. The company has confirmed that the 2024 Windsor EV will feature LED light bars at the front and rear, and a vertically stacked headlamp cluster with projector headlights at the front. Meanwhile, the charging port is placed on the left front fender, and has flush-fitting door handles at sides. It features chunky alloy wheels and has an integrated spoiler.
As for the interior, the cabin will feature a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, rear seats with a 135-degree recline function dubbed aero-lounge seats, and panoramic sunroof. All these features have officially been revealed by MG Motor via teasers.
The cabin will come has also been confirmed to have ambient lighting, and a black upholstery. t
Globally, the MG Windsor EV is offered with two battery options one long-range 50.6kWh and another basic 37.9kWh units paired with a single electric motor each. The battery units is claimed to offer a range of 460km and 360km, respectively, on a single full charge.
It remains to be seen which of these will make it to the India-spec car. Once launched, the new Windsor EV will rival the likes of the BYD e6.
