Jeep launches Compass Night Eagle Edition in India, Know the price and engine specifications

Jeep has recently introduced the Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition in India. The Night Eagle edition gets some cosmetic upgrades that make it more distinguishing than the other variants. However, Jeep has not implemented any change in terms of the engine. This means that the powertrain of the Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition will be the same as other variants.

The Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition is available in both diesel and petrol variants. The SUV is offered with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol edition and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel option. The petrol engine variant is priced at Rs 22.75 lakh while the diesel engine is priced at Rs 21.95 lakh.

The 2.0-litre turbo diesel variant churns out a power of 170PS while the peak torque is 350 Nm. It is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.  On the other hand, the petrol variant churns out 160 PS of maximum power along with 250 Nm of peak torque. The petrol variant is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

When it comes to features, the new Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition gets a 10.1-inch infotainment system, 7-inch instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control and much more. In terms of safety features, the SUV gets Hill Start Assist, Traction Control System, ABS, Electronic Stability Control etc.

In February 2022, Jeep had launched the refreshed Compass Trailhawk in India. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk facelift is more aggressive in terms of its off-road capabilities and is offered with a 4×4 powertrain. The new Compass Trailhawk carries few upgrades that were introduced in the Jeep Compass facelift that was launched in 2021. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk facelift had an introductory price of Rs 30.72 lakh.

Under the hood, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine and comes with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The engine generates peak power of 170hp while the maximum torque of the engine is 350 Nm. For the ease of off-roading, the Trailhawk gets a 4×4 system.

Jeep India has also unveiled its first 7 seater SUV-Jeep Meridian. When it comes to the engine, the Jeep Meridian will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor that is already present in the Jeep Compass. The Jeep Meridian is expected to launch in June 2022 and the bookings for the SUV is expected to begin somewhere in May 2022.
