Jeep Compass undergoes price hike, now expensive by up to Rs 35,000

The much popular SUV Jeep Compass gets a price hike in India. Jeep India has increased the prices of Compass by up to Rs 35,000. This is the second time, the car manufacturer has implemented a price hike in the last 3 months. The company had announced a price hike of Rs 25,000 across all Compass models in April 2022.

In the current price update of the Jeep Compass, the SUV gets a price hike of Rs 35,000 across all variants except for Sport 2.0 diesel variant. The Sport 2.0 diesel variant gets a price hike of Rs 25,000. The car manufacturer had already introduced Jeep Compass Night Eagle edition earlier this year.

Jeep India is not the only manufacturer that has implemented a price hike. Toyota Kirloskar Motor had already hiked its cars recently. The Toyota Innova Crysta and the Toyota Fortuner have received a price hike of up to Rs 86,000. The Fortuner gets a price hike of Rs 61,000 for 2WD variants. However, the 4WD variant costs up to Rs 80,000 more. Meanwhile, the Toyota Innova Crysta costs Rs 86,000 more than the previous model.

The Jeep Compass is offered in petrol as well as diesel engine variants. The petrol engine is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo engine that offers a peak power of 163PS and maximum torque of 250Nm. On the other hand, the diesel engine is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel unit that produces 172PS of power. The torque figures of the variant is 350Nm. While the petrol engine gets a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox, the diesel engine gets a 9-speed automatic gearbox. When it comes to manual versions, both the diesel and petrol engine get a 6-speed manual unit. The AWD models of the Jeep Compass are limited to diesel engines only.

In terms of features, the Compass gets up to six airbags, ABS, ESC, hill assist, panic brake assist, rollover mitigation and many more. The cabin features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, 10.25-inch digital driver display, auto AC, 360-degree camera and much more.
