Citroen C3 Turbo variant launched in India at a starting price of Rs 8.28 lakh

Citroen has launched the turbo variants of its entry-level hatchback C3 in India. The turbo variants of the Citroen C3 now start at Rs 8.28 lakh in India. The top variant offered with the turbo petrol engine includes the shine variant which starts at Rs 8.80 lakh. The engines are compliant with the latest BS6 Phase 2 norms.

The Citroen C3 Turbo variants are powered by a Gen III Puretech 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. It produces 110bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with 6-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the other engine is a 1.2L NA petrol engine which produces 82bhp of power and 115Nm of torque. The NA petrol engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The new features that the Shine variant gets include features like ESP, hill hold, engine auto start/stop and TPMS. Some other key features are electrically adjustable a rear parking camera, manual day/night IRVM, ORVMs, My Citroen Connect smartphone etc. When it comes to the exterior of the vehicle, users get features like 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, rear wiper with washer, front fog lamps, rear skid plates, and rear defogger.

Recently, the Citroen C3 Aircross has made its debut in India.The SUV will be heavily localized in India and the company specifically targets the buyers at home. In the Indian market, the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Selto, and Toyota Hyryder will be the main competitors of the C3 Aircross.

The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV is 4.3m in length which is the same as that of the Hyundai Creta. However, it is smaller than Seltos, Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser. The edge which the C3 Aircross has over its rivals is the offering of 7 seats. A regular 5-seater option is available for the C3 Aircross. The 7-seater option will have 5+2 seating combination.
