Citroen Basalt mileage revealed, Launch soon
Citroen recently unveiled the production-ready Basalt coupe-SUV ahead of its launch later this year. According to reports, the car is expected to take place in the coming weeks. The company has also announced the key specifications and features of the car.
According to the company, the new Basalt will be offered with two engine options- a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that produces 80bhp and 115Nm of torque, paired only with a five-speed manual transmission. A 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine would also be in offer that will generates 109 bhp. The transmission options available with this motor will be either six-speed manual and torque converter automatic units. The Manual and Automatic version of the Turbo engine will produce 190Nm and 205Nm of torque, respectively.
Variant-wise mileage figures of the Citroen Basalt:
The 1.2-litre NA petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission has been claimed to offer a mileage of up to 18 Kmpl, while the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine will deliver mileage of up to 19.5kmpl and 18.7kmpl for the six-speed manual and automatic units, respectively.
The 2024 Citroen Basalt comes with features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen system with wireless connectivity, LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, wraparound taillights, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear AC vents, adjustable thigh support for the second-row occupants, and six airbags as standard.
The updated feature list will also be available in the other 3 Citroen budget cars over this year.
It will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, and Honda Elevate.
