Bookings for Kia EV6 electric car begins from tomorrow in India, Check the launch date here
Kia Motors is all set to enter the electric car sector in India with its latest car- Kia EV6. Even though the car had already been introduced in the international market, it was yet to be introduced in India. The bookings for the fully electric car from Kia will start in India from tomorrow i.e. 26 May, 2022. On the other hand the launch of Kia EV6 is scheduled on 2 June, 2022.
How to book
The bookings of Kia EV6 can be made through the official website of Kia (Kia India). Similarly, the bookings can also be made through the Kia dealers across India. However, the GT version of the electric car might not be introduced in the Indian market, said the company.
Important details about the Kia EV6
The Kia EV6 electric car will be introduced in the Indian market as a CBU (completely built-up) route. According to reports, 100 units of the electric car will be introduced in the Indian market. It is expected that the company will introduce the FWD (front wheel drive) and RWD (rear wheel drive) variants of the car in India.
The dimensions of Kia EV6 are 4,681 mm long, 1,778 mm wide and 1,544 mm height. The wheel base of the car is 2,900 mm-long.
Some of the important features inside the cabin include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, LED lighting, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, etc.

Trims of the Kia EV6
The Kia EV6 is offered across 5 trims in the US. The trims are Light (RWD), Wind (RWD), Wind (e-AWD), GT-Line (RWD) and GT-Line (e-AWD).
Light (RWD) – This variant offers 58.0 kWh Battery with 167 HP power and 258 lb.-ft Torque. The estimated range of the car is up to 232 Miles (373 kms approx.). The battery supports ultra-fast DC charging capability.
Wind (RWD) – This variant offers 77.4 kWh Battery with 225 HP power and 258 lb.-ft Torque. The estimated range of the car is up to 310 Miles (499 kms approx.). The battery supports ultra-fast DC charging capability.
Wind (e-AWD) – This variant offers 77.4 kWh Battery with 320 HP power and 446 lb.-ft Torque. The estimated range of the car is up to 274 Miles (441 kms approx.). The battery supports ultra-fast DC charging capability. The car is equipped with dual motors.
GT-Line (RWD) – This variant offers 77.4 kWh Battery with 225 HP power and 258 lb.-ft Torque. The estimated range of the car is up to 310 Miles (499 kms approx.). The battery supports ultra-fast DC charging capability.
GT-Line (e-AWD) – This variant offers 77.4 kWh Battery with 320 HP power and 446 lb.-ft Torque. The estimated range of the car is up to 274 Miles (441 kms approx.). The battery supports ultra-fast DC charging capability.The car is equipped with dual motors.
Price
Keeping in mind about the power, torque and range of the Kia EV6, we expect that the electric car will have a price range of Rs 55 lakh to Rs 60 lakh.
Competitors
Currently, the Kia EV6 does not have any competitors in the Indian market. However, it will have its competitors after Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Volvo XC40 launch in India.
