BMW has launched the BMW R 1300 GS motorcycle in India and the motorcycle is priced at Rs 20.95 lakh. The motorcycle offers some excellent features if you are looking for an adventurer tourer motorcycle. The bike is offered in a single ‘Pro’ variant.
Design
The BMW R 1300 GS gets a completely new design. The bike gets new LED matrix headlamps with integrated DRLs. The seat height of the bike is 850mm. There is a flatter tank ramp available on the motorcycle. It is offered in Light White, Triple Black, GS Trophy and Option 719 Tramuntana options.
When it comes to the engine, we get a 1,300cc, twin-cylinder engine with a 13.3:1 compression ratio. The power of the motorcycle is 145hp@7750rpm while the peak torque is 149Nm at 6500rpm. There is a slight increase in the output of the motorcycle. The earlier model offered 134hp and 143Nm. The motorcycle offers a massive 19-litre fuel tank and weighs 237kg. There are four riding modes on the motorcycle and that include Rain, Road, Eco, and Enduro. The optional modes include Dynamic, Dynamic Pro, and Enduro Pro.
A touring package is offered in all models except for the Light White variant. In the touring package users get pannier mounts, adaptive headlight, knuckle-guard extenders, chromed exhaust header pipes, and GPS mount. The Adaptive Ride Height feature is equipped with only the Triple Black variant.
The top variant is the Option 719 Tramuntana and it offers important features like radar-assisted safety features- Active Cruise Control and Front Collision Warning.
