New Honda CB1000 Hornet unveiled at the EICMA 2023

Honda has unveiled the all-new CB1000 Hornet at the International Motorcycle show EICMA 2023 ongoing in Milan.

Honda has unveiled the all-new CB1000 Hornet at the International Motorcycle show EICMA 2023 ongoing in Milan. Honda is expected to introduce the motorcycle in India sometime in 2024. It will be available through its BigWing showrooms. The motorcycle will be replacing the CB1000R Neo Sports Cafe as it has seen less sales globally.

The new Honda bike features an aggressive attractive style with design cues borrowed from Ducati Streetfighter. The Hornet features a low-slung full-LED headlamp, fuel tank recesses and a CB1000R like tail section.

Underneath the bodywork, the CB1000 Hornet is based on the might Fireblade and uses the same frame as the supersport.

The bike is powered by a 999cc, inline four-cylinder DOHC 16V engine. The unit churns out over 110KW (147hp) peak power and more than 100Nm torque.

The hardware list includes a Showa forks at the front and a Pro-Link shock at the rear. Both with pre-load and rebound adjustability. The Honda CB1000 Hornet is packed with a throttle-by-wire system, five-inch TFT display with with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and five ride modes. It also comes with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and assist/slipper clutch.

Honda has not revealed the pricing details of the new Honda CB1000 Hornet yet. The motorcycle will be offered in three shades- Grand Prix Red, Mat Iridium Gray Metallic, Pearl Glare White.

Honda currently offers the Neo Sports Cafe in India. As it is said to replace the Neo Sports Cafe, the CB1000 Hornet will most likely launch in India next year.
