Honda Cars India has confirmed that the next-generation Amaze will arrive in the country next month on December 4, 2024. The carmaker released the first teaser of the sub-four-metre sedan earlier this week. The updated iteration of the Amaze will borrow design inspiration from the current version of the City.
The 2024 Amaze has been teased sporting a similar design as the current version of the City. It is expected to feature noticeable cosmetic changes including all-LED headlamps, single slat grille, sharp front and rear bumpers, and a fresh set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the vehicle is likely to get a new set of LED taillights as well.
The interior will be updated with a new theme along with a larger touchscreen infotainment system. It will also get other elements and features similar to the company’s popular product-Honda City.
Mechanically, the Honda Amaze will continue to be offered with the same engine options as the current model. The new Honda Amaze will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. It comes paired with five-speed manual and CVT transmissions.
Upon its launch in India, the new Amaze will rival the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and the recently introduced Maruti Dzire.
