2022 MG ZS EV facelift to get launched soon in India, Know features and range

MG Motor is all set to introduce the 2022 MG ZS EV facelift very soon in India. The new electric car by the company will launch on March 7, 2022.  We expect that the upcoming car will have the same features as that of the MG ZS EV that was launched in the international market last year. The 2022 MG ZS EV facelift will be rolling out from the company’s manufacturing facility in Halol in Gujarat.

The new MG ZS EV is expected to be rolled out in two trims when it gets launched in India. In terms of design, the ZS EV gets a new body-coloured front grille. The MG badge is present on the centre of the grille and the charging slot sits next to the badge. The headlamps get integrated with the LED DRLs along with LED tail lamps.

In terms of interior features, the car gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 7-inch digital driver display similar to that of Astor. Some of the important interior features which might get included are ADAS with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree camera, lane assist and adaptive cruise control.

Safety features on the car include power driver seat, automatic headlight and wipers, connected car technology, six air bags, hill descent control, electronic stability control (esc), tyre pressure monitoring system etc.

The 2022 MG ZS EV will be powered by a 51kWh battery pack which will be able to deliver a driving range of more than 450 kilometers on a single charge. The current model of MG ZS EV produces a power of 141 hp and a peak torque of 353 Nm. The MG ZS EV is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM).

In terms of price, the 2022 MG ZS EV facelift is very likely to get a price tag of Rs 22 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. In the Indian market, the MG ZS EV competes with the Hyundai Kona EV.
