According to a press release issued by the Health Department, P.C Mohapatra, Director of Medical Education & Training (DMET) has been appointed as the Director of Regional Spinal Injury Centre (RSIC) in Cuttack and given additional charge of monitoring and supervising five new government medical colleges. This apart, Mohapatra has also been allowed to exercise financial power of OGFR.
Professor Dr. Sonamali Bag, the former Director of VIMSAR, Burla and now joined the Health & FW Department, has been posted as Director of Medical Education & Training (DMET) of Bhubaneswar.
Similarly, Professor Dr. Arun Kumar Dandapat, the present Dean & Principal of MKCG, Berhampur has been appointed as the HOD of Radio Therapy, MKCG and given additional charges of Tertiary Care Centre at MKCG, VIMSAR and Kalahandi District Headquarters Hospital in Bhawanipatna.
Dandapat has been replaced by Dr. Radhamadhab Tripathy while Prof. Dr. Buijayeeni Mohapatra has been given the charge of Professor, SPM, MKCG.
Present Superintendent of MKCG Medical College and Hospital Dr. Kshetrabasi Subudhi has been appointed as Professor of obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) department of the medical college.
Dr. Charan Panda, Prof. Surgery, MKCG, Berhampur has been posted as Superintendent of MKCG and Dr. Santosh Behera has been appointed as the Professor of obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) in MKCG.
The press note further said that Dr. Ramesh Chandra Samantray has been posted as the Superintendent of Balasore Medical College and Hospital while Dr. Sushanta Kumar Das, the present Superintendent of Balangir Medical College and Hospital has been posted as Professor of Surgery Department of MKCG Hospital.
Dr. Sushanta has been replaced by Sudhir Kumar Ghosh, current Professor of Microbiology department in VIMSAR, Burla.
The post of Dean & Principal of Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College & Hospital (PRM) in Baripada will be will be led by Dr. Rama Raman Mohanty.
The state government has appointed Dr. Shrikrushna Mohapatra, the predecessor of Dr. Rama Raman Mohanty, as the Professor of the exiting vacancy in Biochemistry department of SCB, Cuttack.
Dr. Santisena Mishra has been posted as Associate Professor of Paediatrics department in MKCG, Berhampur, added the press note.
Likewise, Dr. Narendra Behera, has been posted in the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (SVPPGIP), Cuttack as the Associate Professor of the Paediatrics department.
The existing vacancy of the Associate Professor in Physiology department in SCB will be filled by Dr. Sulata Mohapatra.
Dr. Biranchi Narayan Mohapatra has been given posted as Professor, Medicine Department at SCB against the existing vacancy.
Dr. Punyansu Mohanty has been put in charge of Superintendent of PRM in Baripada while Dr. Narendranath Soren has been posted as the Professor and HOD of the Paediatrics department of the same hospital.
Professor K.C. Biswal, the HOD of Radio Diagnosis in MKCG, has been appointed as the Dean & Principal of Saheed Laxman Naik (SLN) Medical College and Hospital, Koraput.
