Bhubaneswar: At least five vehicles of former Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Corporator Lala Ashok Kumar Ray were torched by unidentified miscreants over unknown reason late last night.
The torched vehicles which were completely gutted into fire incurring a financial loss to Ray include two bikes, two scooters and a car.
As per a complaint filed by the Ex-Corportator at Kharvel Nagar Police Station in connection with the case, a group of unidentified men sneaked into his residence and reached the parking lot and set the vehicles afire. He came to know about the incident after waking up from sleep at around 1.30 AM.
Police have started investigation into the case and are examining the CCTV footage available at Ray’s house to identify the culprits involved in the case.
