Jharsuguda: Four members of a family were seriously injured in the blaze said reports. The incident took place this morning in Hariom Vihar in Brajrajnagar of Jharsuguda district.
Four family members were seriously injured in the blaze while sleeping inside the house. The injured were identified as the mother Baljit Kaur, daughter Manjit Kaur, son Rajendra Singh and their granddaughter.
According to reports, yesterday was the death anniversary of Baljit Kaur’s husband Gurmeet Singh. For this, a puja was performed at home and all the members were tired and had slept of at night when the incident took place.
All the injured have been rescued and admitted to Rourkela Ispat General Hospital (IGH). However the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Brajrajnagar police and scientific team have arrived at the spot and are investigating.
