New Delhi: In a special Diwali sale, low-cost air carrier Indigo is offering customers all inclusive fares starting from Rs. 899. The special sale is effective from October 24-26 across Indigo’s network of 64 destinations across the country.
The flight carrier is offering as many as 10 lakh seats for air travel between November 8, 2018 and April 15, 2019. In a press statement, Chief Commercial Officer of Indio William Boulter said, “We are delighted to announce this three day festive sale across our network between October 24 to October 26. Diwali is one of the most auspicious occasions to meet families and friends and through this festive sale we aspire to create more flexibility of choice for our customers to fly at low fares. We are sure that customers will quickly grab the seats we have available, starting at fares as low as Rs 899.”
Notably, Indigo is one of the largest private carriers in the country which flies over 40 percent of air travellers. However, high operating costs and falling revenue are taking a toll on the aviation industry in India off-lately.
With Indigo starting the festive seat sale, many more players are expected to follow suit and announce similar offers for air travellers.
