Gear up for NASA’s first ever 4K Video Streaming from space!

For all the astronomy buffs, April 26 is the day to look forward to. NASA will be hosting the first-ever live 4K streaming straight from the International Space Station. The streaming will be carried out by astronaut and Expedition 51 commander Peggy Whitson.

Though the broadcast will take place during a session at the 2017 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas at 1.30pm EDT, the lower resolution streaming will be available on NASA Television and facebook page.

The streaming will be part of a panel called ‘Reaching for the Stars: Connecting to the Future with NASA and Hollywood.’ During the course of the streaming, Whitson, along with Sam Blackman, CEO of AWS Elemental, will explore using advanced imaging and cloud technologies for research and film-making.
