New Delhi: Mobile giant Vivo has announced that its new set of smartphones with Android 9.0 Pie will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2018. The news comes days after Google formally launched Android Pie as its next major mobile platform. However, Vivo has not specified which of its devices will receive the fresh experience. It is being speculated that the Android Pie will first hit the Vivo X21 which was a part of the Android P Beta programme.

Apart from the Vivo X21 model, the company could also use the Android 9.0 Pie for the Nex models that debuted with an elevating selfie camera in June. The company had also launched Vivo Nex in India last month. Vivo is among the seven OEM partners that tested Android Pie on their key devices ahead of its final release.
