Donghae City: The Sunita Lakra-led India team beat Japan 4-1 in 5th Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Hockey here on Sunday.

Navneet Kaur scored a hat-trick while Odisha’s Anupa Barla (53rd) got the other goal for India at the Sunrise Stadium.

Apart from Sunita and Anupa, three other players from Odisha namely Deep Grace Ekka, Namita Toppo and Lilima Minz have found place in the team which is the defending champion of the hockey tournament.

India will take on a formidable China in their second Pool match on May 16.

Defenders: Deepika, Sunita Lakra (C), Deep Grace Ekka, Gurjit Kaur, Suman Devi Thoudam.

Midfielders: Monika, Namita Toppo, Nikki Pradhan, Neha Goyal, Lilima Minz, Navjot Kaur, Udita.

Forwards: Vandana Katariya, Lalremsiami, Navneet Kaur, Anupa Barla.
