Ipoh: India lost 2-3 to Olympic champions Argentina in the opening match of the 27th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Hockey tournament here in Malaysia on Saturday. All five goals came through drag-flicks in the match.

In the rain affected match, Drag-flick star Gonzalo Peillat scored a hat-trick for Argentina.

Odisha boy Amit Rohidas converted two penalty corners for India but it wasn’t good enough in the end as the Indian forwards lacked sharpness in front of the goal post.

India will next play England on Sunday.

Apart from India and Argentina, the other teams taking part in the tournament include Australia, Ireland and Malaysia.
