Space scientist Susmita Mohanty appointed As “MO SCHOOL” Chief

Bhubaneswar: Noted space scientist Susmita Mohanty was appointed as the chairperson of “MO SCHOOL” programme by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Wednesday.
Patnaik while appointed Mohanty said that she is a perfect example of what every Odia girl and boy can aspire and achieve given the right support.
“Dr. Susmita Mohanty symbolizes the “MO SCHOOL” initiative, she is an example of what every Odia girl and boy can aspire and achieve given the right support. With the “MO SCHOOL” initiative, the futuristic and dynamic potential of young children will find greater heights, even sky will not be the limit for the children of Odisha,” the Odisha Chief Minister said.
Expressing her gratitude to the CM for the appointment, Dr. Susmita Mohanty said, “I am well pleased and deeply honoured that honourable Chief Minister has given me this opportunity to work for the “MO SCHOOL” initiative. I have deep love for Odisha.”
Dr. Susmita, born in Cuttack, is the only entrepreneur in the world to have started space companies in three different continents. She is the Co-founder and CEO of Earth2Orbit, a spaceship designer and serial space entrepreneur.
She has been nominated among the World’s top 100 Young Innovators and has also featured on the cover of Fortune Magazine.
‘Mo School’ campaign was launched by the Chief Minster on Children’s day this year.
