Angul: Acting on the allegation of bribery, Vigilance officials arrested a Revenue Inspector (RI) in the district on Wednesday.
Vigilance sleuths arrested Jarapada Revenue Inspector Gokulananda Pradhan while taking a bribe of Rs 1500 from one Ramachandra Behera.
Behera had drawn the attention of the anti-corruption agency towards the bribery demand of the RI for verification of a Legal Heir Certificate, following which a trap was laid by the Vigilance personnel and Pradhan was arrested red-handed while accepting the cash from Behera this morning.
