Balasore: The on time arrival of a patrolling team of police foiled the loot bid of some miscreants at the State Bank of India ATM near Ranipatna Chhak in the district last night.
According to reports, some looters barged into the ATM last night and were about to decamp the cash by breaking open the money kiosk. However, police reached the spot after getting information from some ragpickers, who noticed the robbery bid while passing through the area. On fear of being arrested, the miscreants immediately fled the spot.
Police with the help of a scientific team are probing the matter. They are also studying the CCTV footage installed at the ATM kiosk to elicit details about the miscreants.
