Bhadrak: A woman Sarapanch in Odisha donated her entire allowances that she had received in last one year to Indian Army on Wednesday on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day.
Aliloprabha Raul, the Sarapanch of Maharampur Panchayat under Tihidi block in the district, today handed over a cheque of Rs 25428 to the Tihidi BDO in this regard.
The Sarpanch said, she would do the same for the Indian Army during her rest of tenure.
The locals appreciated the woman politician for her noble initiative.
