Bhubaneswar:  Despite continuous rains in most part of the state, ‘Bol Bom’ devotees or ‘kanwariyas’  in large numbers thronged different Shiva temples across Odisha today on the  occasion of last Monday of holy month of Shravan.

Like the last three Monday, the devotees were seen standing in a long queue in front of Shiva temples since the wee hours of today to offer prayers to Lord Shiva and get blessed.

The devotees attired in Safforn colour clothes, chanting “BOL BAM! BOL BAM! “, “Bol Bam, Har Har Bam”, started their journey in groups last night after collecting holy water from various rivers in order to pour it on Lord Shiva.

The administration has made adequate security arrangements at major Shiva shrines in the state including the Lingaraja Temple here, Lokanath Temple in Puri and Kapilash in Dhenkanal in view of the huge gathering of the devotees.
