Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is well-known for his equi-distance (from any national party) strategy and though he has never expressed his aspirations for national politics, his name has been included in the list of political leaders who are going to dominate the political turf of India during the 2019 general elections.
Naveen’s clean image in his four-term Chief Ministership has placed him well ahead of many others in the list. Besides, he had won the prestigious Outlook Speakout Award-2017 as the best administrator in the country.
As per the survey/poll of political think-tank cum strategist Prasant Kishore, Naveen figures in the list of 11 candidates to be the next PM.
Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Narendra Modi, Sitaram Yechury, Arvind Kejriwal, Mayawati, Mamata Banerjee, Nitish Kumar, Akhilesh Yadav and HD Devegowda are the other prominent leaders who have found place in the list for PM.

Meanwhile, BJD Spokesperson Sasmit Patra said, “It is because of his clean image and good administrative power that people are fond of Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik. His focus is on Odisha. He has dreamt of building Odisha into the No 1 State in the country and is headed in that direction. Needless to say his focus is on Odisha and its holistic development at the moment.”
