Odisha CM sanctions Rs 27.51 Cr for 134 GPs under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday sanctioned Rs 27.51 crore to implement projects in 134 Gram Panchayats (GPs) of six blocks in six districts – Kalahandi, Puri, Cuttack, Balangir, Ganjam and Gajapati – of the state under ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme.

According to reporters, Patnaik sanctioned Rs 4 crore for 199 projects in 20 GPs of Loisingha Block in Balangir district, Rs 6.50 crore for 194 projects in 26 GPs of Sanakhemundi Block in Ganjam district and Rs 2.52 crore for executing 84 rural projects in 21 GPS of Rayagad Block in Gajapati district.

Likewise, the CM approved Rs 4.20 crore for 193 projects to be undertaken in 22 GPs of Jayapatna Block in Kalahandi district while Rs 6.578 crore for 455 projects in 31 GPs of Nimapada Block in Puri district, Rs 3.71 crore for 178 projects in 14 GPs of Kantapada Block in Cuttack district.

Apart from over 50,000 villagers, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Panchayati Raj Department Principal Secretary and senior officers of various departments of the State Secretariat, concerned District Collectors, elected PRI members and the village people of the concerned blocks participated in today’s Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme.
