Bhubaneswar: The Biggest University Sports Tournament – National University Games 2017-18 was inaugurated at KIIT University here on Tuesday.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT & KISS, inaugurated the tournament in the presence of Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar of KIIT University, B. D. Vanar, AIU Observer for All India Archery, Deep Solanki of EUSAI and Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Director of Sports, KIIT.
On this occasion, the Logo of KIIT & KISS Sports Department was also launched.
All total 3000 players and officials of 320 teams from 250 universities across the country have been assembled for this mega event.
The sports event from 26th to 30th December is being organised by KIIT and KISS Deemed University in association with Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
The East zone All India University games in Badminton (M & W), Basketball (M), Volleyball (M), Tennis (M) and All India University Yoga (M & W) tournament was held in University for the first time in Odisha earlier in October.
